Timothy j. Fisher
Managing Partner at DHIP Group, Tim is responsible for originating & directing equity investments in a variety of infrastructure assets for the independent fund and alongside operating or co-investment partners. He also works to optimize the capital structure of portfolio companies and develops new business for portfolio companies on an ongoing basis.
Prior to forming Drexel Hamilton Infrastructure Partners, Mr. Fisher was Managing Partner and Head of Investment Banking at Drexel Hamilton, a full service institutional investment banking and financial advisory firm. Tim worked with a variety of private companies providing capital solutions and assisting them to structure and raise equity and debt from institutional investors for a variety of purposes including M&A, working capital, capital expenditures, and refinancings.
Mr. Fisher moved to the buyside as an assistant MLP portfolio manager at Parker Global Strategies (“PGS”) in 2013. His fund, PGS Energy Opportunities Trust, returned +30.20% with hedges and leverage in 2013 (vs +18.55% for its benchmark) and +16.69% with hedges and leverage through July 2014 (vs +7.16 for its benchmark). In July 2014, Tim left to help a family office invest a proprietary pool of capital, raise outside capital and develop new business for lower middle market private companies in the oil & gas, transportation and specialty finance sectors.
Tim started his finance career in equity research at UBS and JP Morgan, launching coverage on over 40 Master Limited Partnerships (“MLPs”) in a variety of energy verticals. He was also responsible for creating, writing and updating a widely distributed monthly report analyzing MLPs on a historical and forward-looking basis.
Mr. Fisher was a U.S. Army Artillery Officer, serving three tours in Iraq where he earned two Bronze Stars and an Army Commendation Medal with V-Device. During his second tour, he oversaw and coordinated with a governing district in eastern Baghdad to plan, implement. build and pay for all its US funded public works projects. Tim is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy (West Point, NY) and holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.
